Cambodia: 11 Students Drown After River Ferry Capsizes

Eleven students in southern Cambodia who were crossing a river died after the boat they were on capsized, officials said.

Four people — two students and two of the boat’s crew — were rescued following the accident Thursday night on the Mekong River southeast of Phnom Penh, police said.

The body of a 14-year-old boy, who had been missing, was found Saturday morning, Maj. Gen. Chhoeun Sochet, chief of the Kandal provincial police, said on his Facebook page.

The students, who were between 12 and 14 years old, were returning from an English class. They lived on an island in the river and used the ferry for transport almost every day in the rainy season, as did others from their village. During the dry season, the river sometimes has little or no water and can be traversed by foot.

The boat was overloaded and lacked life jackets, the police chief said.

The accident occurred near the Neak Loeung bridge over the Mekong, which at that point separates Kandal province on the western shore from Prey Veng on the east. The bridge is part of Route 1, a major road connecting the capital, Phnom Penh, to Ho Chi Minh City in neighboring Vietnam.

The police chief in Kandal’s Leuk Daek district, Am Thou, said the accident occurred as the boat was approaching the shore. It took on water in the bow, and the students were instructed to move to seats in the middle or stern of the boat.

However, as they walked back, the boat became unbalanced and turned over.

One of the survivors, 12-year-old Ry Chanbora, was shown in a video broadcast online by Swift News telling relatives that she normally doesn’t know how to swim well despite living near the river. She said that when the boat was going down she jumped out, trying to swim with her face up, and drifted to the river’s bank.

Provincial officials paid a visit to the girl, and King Norodom Sihamoni on his royal Facebook page offered condolences and prayers for the families of the victims. Prime Minister Hun Sen also gave condolences on the Telegram messaging platform.

“May I urge all the people, especially the people who live along the river, to pay the highest care during this flooding period,” he said, referring to the recent heavy rains that possibly contributed to the accident.

Police chief Am Thou said the boat’s two operators had been hospitalized after the accident and would face legal action. He did not say what charges they would face.

The World Health Organization said last year that according to assessments in 2019, more than 144,000 drowning deaths occurred in the Asia Pacific region, 61% of the global total.

“Of the 70,000 drowning deaths in the WHO South-East Asia Region in 2019, more than 33% were among children aged under 15 years,” said the U.N. agency. “On average, men were three to four times more likely to drown than women.”

Jubilation has started flowing in the air has actress Judy Austin Muoghalu, the second wife of popular Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie changed her surname to Yul Edochie.

Recall that on April 27, 2022, Yul Edochie got social media buzzing as he unveiled his son, Star Dike and second wife, Judy Austin following secret marriage.

Since then all has not well in the edochie’s family as the actor first wife, May Edochie who has four children for the actor has been unhappy with it as he took to the comment section of the Yul Edochie to express his utmost displeasure and leave the duo over to the hands of God.

And that was just the beginning as May Edochie unfollowed the actor on IG despite the fact that he maintains the fact she is his number.

However, things get worsened between the duo as Yul Edochie unfollowed May also on IG as fans waisted no time to keep dragging Yul and his second wife Judy.

Iri Ji Mbieri: How Engr Akarachi Stole The Show

Irobi Darlington

Yesterday, Friday, the 14th November, 2022 was a big and historic occasion in the Mbieri ancient kingdom as the entire autonomous communities with their Royal Fathers came together for the celebration of New Yam Festival (Iri Ji).

The occasion which attracted sons and daughters of Mbieri from their different locations was a total flair of colors.

Displays of festival and cultural heritage gave it more glamour.

The height of it was the arrival of the man everyone waited for, the David of our time. The stepping in of Engr Akarachi Amadi, the APC Candidate for House of Representatives, Mbaitoli Ikeduru Federal Constituency took the occasion to another high point as the women and youths couldn’t control it , but to enchant his name all over in appreciation of his aspiration and their readiness to vote him in as their representative.

A cultural arena almost turned to a political rally, despite the control by the candidate, yet the realism of the people’s joy and happy mood kept the ovation high for the young engineer turned politician.

Akarachi who sees Mbieri as his 2nd home made responses of smiles and support for the Mbieri people. It was a clear understanding that ndi Mbieri has made directly or indirectly an adoption of his candidacy come February 2023 election.

In the occasion was also the deputy governor of the state Prof Placid Njoku who ably represented the governor, H/E Hope Uzodinma and so many other dignitaries so numerous to mention.

It is still Youth O’clock and to God be all the glory.

John Eneche Is Not A Villain!, Only Spoke As Nigerian Army He Represent

Yes, our campaign has, in deference to popular demand and public outcry deemed it fit to remove General John Enenche from the ObiDatti Campaign Council, but this is not in any way conceding to the mischievous attempt by operatives of the Siamese twins of Nigeria’s underdevelopment – the PDP and APC – that General Enenche was at any time, a villain. Not at all. General Enenche remains a hero of the Nigerian liberation march, even if it is for the mere fact that he identifies with the only political movement that guarantees Nigeria’s survival.

Gen. John Eneche

The statement for which General Enenche’s head is being demanded on a platter by the agents and slaves of the same oppressors who orchestrated the tragic massacre and the were actually the instigators of the mindless abuses and endemic corruption that has eaten up the very fabrics of our national life, wouldn’t have been made, if we didn’t have APC and PDP administrations, at different times, persecuting and suppressing Nigerian youths.

General Enenche at the time he made that unfortunate statement, spoke not as John Enenche, the Nigerian citizen, but as General John Enenche, who is bound by his military oath of loyalty, secrecy and allegiance. As the Spokesperson of the military, he was merely communicating the position of the Nigerian military on the issue and not what might be his personal opinions or feelings on that unfortunate incident made possible by the collective irresponsibility of the PDP and APC led mal-administrations in the last two decades.

Unfortunately, the individuals who are at the forefront of the cancel campaign against General Enenche are the same people who are aiding and sustaining the same group of coup plotters, public thieves and mortgagers of our commonwealth and habitual abusers of public institutions and notorious saboteurs of our national interest.

General Enenche served this nation’s military and he served her well. Unlike the Buharis of the same military, he was never involved in any act of treason by way of planning or executing coups or supporting or sympathizing with terrorist groups or dissidents. He should be judged based on his work as a military man, within the confines of the rules of engagement guiding military work, and not what he would have done as a civilian or any normal citizen. I am sure, that if John Enenche wasn’t in the military at the time of the EndSars protest, he might have been at the forefront of that protest.

General Enenche is a patriot, he is a lover of Nigeria and he is determined to contribute his quota to the development and

Gen. John Eneche

prosperity of Nigeria and we support him. We thank him for his service for Nigeria and we are wholeheartedly supportive of his Obidient contributions at this time and always.

Tinubu, APC Governors Disagree Over Party’s Manifesto

ABUJA – The All Progressives Congress (APC) is working against the clock to forestall another round of crisis that may further delay the ultimate flag off of its presidential campaign as APC governors kick against what an insider dubs ‘Tinubu’s Lagos manifesto’ ahead of the party’s campaign flag off.

The development is coming against grapevine find that the APC presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, may have dumped the party’s manifesto in preference for what he achieved as governor of Lagos State.

The APC presidential candidate is said to be uncomfortable running on the manifesto of the party, especially with the litany of unfulfilled promises by the outgoing administration which some minders of the candidate believe would not sell with the people.

However, the shift away from the APC manifesto is said to have drawn the anger of some of the governors who are bitter that their candidate is out to sell the party cheap at the 2023 election in an effort to distance self from alleged glaring failings of the APC Federal Government.

The governors were said to have met Tuesday night at Kebbi State Governor’s Lodge in Asokoro, Abuja, where the governors allegedly took a decision to reject the ‘Lagos Manifesto’, prompting the ‘emergency’ meeting of the APC Presidential Campaign Council (PCC), the National Working Committee (NWC) and candidates of the party, Tinubu and Shettima.

The conspicuous absence of the party’s national chairman, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, from the crucial meeting held at Transcorp Hilton also raised fears of unresolved issues still dogging the APC ahead of the campaign take off.

Recall that the APC NWC had recently kicked against the allege hijack of the PCC by close aides of the APC presidential candidate, with the chairman of the APC Governors’ Forum, Kebbi’s Governor Atiku Bagudu admitting that the PCC list ought to have been released by the NWC.
Briefing journalists shortly after rising from the four hours meeting, spokesman of the campaign, Festus Keyamo, disclosed that the meeting was called to review the draft manifesto of the party.

Falsehood’ – PDP Did Not Suspend Presidential Campaign – Dele Momodu

The Director of Strategic Communications of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Presidential Campaign Council, Chief Dele Momodu, has debunked stories making the rounds in the media space that the party has suspended its rallies as a result of the rift between the presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, and the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike.

Wike Atiku

Reacting via his verified Instagram handle, Momodu said the stories are falsehood, and that the party is on course with its rallies, and is due to hit Kaduna next.

“Absolute falsehood…unlike the APC which is yet to put its act together, our Atiku/Okowa Presidential Campaign Council has taken off at supersonic speed…see you soon in Kaduna by God’s grace,” Momodu said.

The ‘falsehood’ Momodu talked about hinged on reports suggesting that the “PDP may have temporarily suspended its presidential campaign apparently over the protracted rift between the PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar and Rivers Governor, Nyesom Wike.”

The stories held that “It was learnt that the campaign rally was suspended at the instance of Atiku who, party sources said, had drafted three prominent PDP stakeholders to mediate in the standoff between him and the Rivers Governor.

“Atiku was reported to have drafted a former Senate President, David Mark; a former Rivers Governor, Peter Odili and a former Delta Governor, James Ibori as mediators.”

Momodu reiterated that the campaign train of the party, which is in full force, will berth in Kaduna soon.

BREAKING: AGF Finally Okays Stella Oduah’s Arraignment For Alleged N7.9bn Fraud.

The Attorney General of the Federation, AGF, and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, has at last finally issued a directive for the arraignment of a former Aviation Minister, Senator Stella Adaeze Oduah, in the N7.9 billion money laundering charges brought against her by the Federal Government.

The directive issued in a letter to the Federal High Court has therefore brought to an end the adjournments suffered by the arraignment for six consecutive times.

Oduah and others defendants in the alleged fraud trial were to have been docked since last year but was for six times put off following the request of the AGF to allow him study the case file and give legal opinion.

*However, at Wednesday’s proceedings, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, brought a letter before the court from Malami, asking that the Senator be formally docked on the alleged offences.*

*Mrs Odua, who was present in court along with her other eight co-defendants,was given February 13, 14, 15, 16 and 17, 2023, for arraignment and full scale accelerated trial.*

Justice Inyang Edem Ekwo fixed the date following confirmation by parties that Malami, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, actually issued the letter and copied them as required by law.

The EFCC, in the charges, alleged that Mrs Oduah misappropriated the N7.9 billion public funds while serving as a Minister under former President Goodluck Jonathan’s regime.

Other defendants are Gloria Odita, Nwosu Emmanuel Nnamdi, Chukwuma Irene Chinyere, Global Offshore, and Marine Limited, Tip Top Global Resources Limited, Crystal Television Limited and Sobora International Limited.

They are charged with conspiracy and money laundering, as well as maintaining anonymous bank accounts.

Who Is This Man Causing Positive Commotion Everywhere

There is this man

His name keeps flying in the air like a drone
He never believes there is an heir to the throne
His voice is never heard in the frequency of persuasion
He is the man I see without corruption.

He is a man who has captured the minds of the people
He drives with leadership by his past example
He is a man with voices of the majority
He is a man with no silent minority.

He stood out of the crowed with no political match
Hence he was given a million marches
I knew him from his clean foot
He was Obidient from his root

He believes not in a wealthy life
Because life could be a secret knife
Quietly he moves without notice
Reality he gives with no tease

He is sailing in the leadership boat
To become the captain he needs your vote
To sail successful he needs to float
“I am not desperate” he says in quote

He is that man with a good ride
Sailing on the ocean with the best guide
Who is that man who isn’t a fester?
It is him whose name is Peter.

Dreams Of Tomorrow

Dreams of tomorrow

Destinies are pushed and followed
The road to success has been narrowed
Like an orphan, I am less a hero
Yet, a so called leader of tomorrow

Hustling daily for some money
Suffering and earning no honey
Where lays the all wanted success?
What a world of opportunities with no access

A happy cloud brought by the weather
But a black storm covers and makes it wither
Dreams fade like a dropping feather
Oh dying wishes of a young leader

Success comes not from education
Education is knowledge with job frustration
Dreams of tomorrow brings nothing but confusion
In a society with no youth compassion

Dreams of tomorrow are full of hiccups
But hard work is chosen over give-ups
The road to success goes with heels up
Failure to succeed brings no thumps up.

Buhari Meets Yahaya Bello, Dangote Over Obajana Ownership Tussle

President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday met with Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State and the President of the Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote.
Naija News gathered that the President met with Bello and Dangote at the Presidential Villa in Abuja to resolve the recent ownership tussle for the Dangote cement factory in Obajana, Kogi state.

The meeting which started around 4pm, had the Chief of Staff to the President, Ibrahim Gambari, and Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State in attendance.

Recall that the Kogi State Government had set up a panel to investigate the acquisition of the Obajana cement plant following agitations by indigenes that the sale was illegal.

However, the panel in its report said the purported transfer of the facility to Dangote Cement was not “proper”.

The Kogi House of Assembly ordered the sealing of the factory which was met with stiff resistance by the Dangote group.

However, during an attempt to seal the factory on October 5, a shooting incident reportedly occurred. The plant was eventually sealed off and a number of persons were injured during the sooting.

I Will Not Take Vengeance Against My Abductors, Freed Abuja-Kaduna Train Victim

One of the victims of the deadly Abuja-Kaduna train attack on March 28, 2022, Lois Arzurfa, on Monday, said that she has forgiven her abductors and would not ask God for vengeance.

Naija News reports that the 21-year-old girl was one of the 65 passengers that were abducted at gunpoint onboard the AK-9 passenger train months ago.

Reports had emerged earlier that a terrorist commander threatened to marry the young female hostage. Arzurfa who was among the remaining 23 passengers that were freed last Wednesday, told newsmen from her hospital bed that their freedom came as a surprise to her.

The 100-level student of the Kaduna State University told reporters that she has put behind her all the suffering they went through in the 191 days spent in their terrorist’s den.

PDP Internal Crises: G-5 Governors Finally Abandon Atiku

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, on Monday flagged-off its presidential campaign amidst an unresolved internal crisis.

An angry Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State and his allies, who are yet to be assuaged after the party’s presidential primary, sent a clear signal to the rally.

Though the campaign flag-off was well attended, observers say the absence of Wike, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu, Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia, Samuel Ortom of Benue and Seyi Makinde of Oyo is a huge blow to the opposition party’s dream of reclaiming the number one seat in the country.

Present at the event were the party’s presidential candidate and ex-Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, his running mate, and Delta State Governor, Ifeanyi Okowa, and Akwa Ibom State Governor, Udom Emmanuel, Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, his Adamawa counterpart, Ahmadu Fintiri and the former lawmaker representing Kogi West, Dino Melaye, among others.

This is not the first time the aggrieved governors are boycotting the party’s major event since Atiku’s emergence.

DAILY POST recalls that in September when the PDP Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) was inaugurated, Wike and his allies, including Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State, still stayed away.

Their action is hinged on the insistence that the PDP National Chairman, Iyorchia AAyu must resign to provide for a sense of equity in the leadership of the party, with the Southern part of the country feeling neglected.

Prior to Ayu’s emergence as PDP national chairman, Wike and his allies were all over attending PDP activities and calling the shots.

However, after Ayu emerged chairman, the PDP, unlike the APC, refused to zone its presidential ticket to the South; it rather threw it open, paving the way for Atiku to clinch the ticket.

According to Governor Wike’s group, Ayu was supposed to step down immediately to allow a Southerner take over and ensure a balanced leadership in the party. But Ayu is not ready for that.

ASUU Will End Strike In A Few Days – Prof. Emmanuel Osodeke

The President of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), Prof. Emmanuel Osodeke, has said the union can call off its industrial action in a few days.
Naija News reports that ASUU embarked on strike on February 14, 2022, to press home an improved academic environment and welfare of members, funding of the

Revitalisation of Public Universities, Earned Academic Allowances, University Transparency Accountability Solution (UTAS), and promotion arrears.

Speaking during a meeting with the leadership of the House of Representatives in Abuja on Monday, ASUU President said the strike would come to an end soon.

While commending President Muhammadu Buhari, Osodeke stated that strikes by the union should not be allowed to linger.

He said: “In a few days, we will put this strike to an end. Let all of us working together and the members of the House of Representatives working together, put a beautiful end to this thing we have started so that every Nigerian will be proud that we have the universities we can be proud of.

“We also extend our appreciation to the President for intervening in the ASUU strike. And I want to appeal that in future we should not allow strike to linger. Strike should not go beyond two days; if the way the National Assembly has intervened, if we had done that long ago, or those in charge of Labour and Education had done exactly this, we would not have stayed more than two or weeks on the strike.

“Strike is all over the world, UK, U.S. all over, but they don’t allow it to last. So, once again, thank you very much and we hope that working together, in the next few days, we can put an end to this particular imbroglio in the Nigerian educational system.”

In a now-deleted post, West shared a screenshot of a text exchange between himself and Diddy, in which allegedly appeared to show West claiming that Combs was controlled by Jewish people. “Jesus is Jew,” he wrote in the caption.

Muslims Who Kill Christians In Nigeria Over Blasphemy Won’t Smell Paradise -Gumi

Muslims who kill Christians in Nigeria over blasphemy will not smell Paradise, popular Kaduna-based Islamic scholar, Sheikh Ahmad Gumi has declared.

He was reacting to the killing of a student of Shehu Shagari College of Education (SSCOE) Deborah Samuel over alleged blasphemy against Prophet Muhammad last Thursday.

Gumi stated categorically that Nigeria is not an Islamic state, adding that Muslims have agreement with people of other faiths to live together peacefully.

He said any Muslim who kills Christians with whom they have agreed to live peacefully on religious guise has committed a grievous sin.

The Islamic scholar spoke in one of his preaching’s at Sultan Bello Mosque in Kaduna.

He said it is unfortunate some Muslim clerics were quoting verses they don’t understand and telling people to kill whoever insults their religion.

Quoting some Quranic verses and jurisprudence, the cleric said killing a non-Muslim under the guise the person uttered a blasphemous statement against Prophet Muhammad is not an excuse “because Allah has told us in the Qur’an the non-Muslims will insult Allah and His Prophet. In fact, it is now the blasphemy will start after the killing of that lady in Sokoto, the insult will increase, not reduce.”

Gumi said some Muslims in Nigeria that want to defend Prophet Muhammad should be ashamed of themselves because they are corrupt.

He explained the best way to defend the Prophet is to follow his teachings.

According to Gumi: “We the clerics need to wake up and teach the Muslims their religion. We must leave this state of ignorance, we have turned like animals. We the Muslims are not the only ones in this country.

“It is not only that we are not the only ones in this country, we must know that there was nothing the unbelievers did not do to Prophet Muhammad but he was patient because he was conscious that if he killed them, the unbelievers he was trying to bring to the fold of Islam will tag him a killer.

“There are people who are neither Muslims not Christians in Nigeria and everyone is trying to win their souls. Also, there people who are not Muslims, whom we are preaching Islam to so that they can enter the fold of Islam and be salvage in the hereafter.

“If we now begin to kill people, they will say it is even from the leader of our faith, Prophet Muhammad that we have learnt it. They will say their religion is a religion of bloodletting. At a time we are trying to draw attention of people to see the beauty of Islam, we are now scaring them away.

“It is unfortunate that we even see some clerics who are telling people that whoever insults your religion just kill then. They are quoting verses they don’t understand.

” There is no one who has the will to kill anyone except through the Islamic justice system. And in doing this, the conditions of such justice must be completed before anyone can be killed.”

He added: “Our religion is a civilised religion. The white people Learnt rule of law from Islam. But today we are the ones in this level of lack of civilisation, to the extent that an Islamic cleric is quoting Qur’an and Hadith spreading and encouraging barbarism.

“People that have not been able to perfect their own acts of worship the way they are supposed to. People who don’t know how to pray properly are now the ones that say they want to dispense justice to people who commit blasphemy.

“What people don’t know is that, in the Islamic perspective, the world is divided into two, the Islamic world and the non-Islamic world, that is countries that are governed by the Islamic law and those that are governed by other laws.

“Those who are not Muslims are divided into two; there are non-Muslims that you engage in war and there non-Muslims that you have agreement with. Those you have agreement with are also divided into two; those who are living under the Islamic laws and those that are not binded by the Islamic laws.

“Nigeria’s non-Muslims are not living under the Islamic laws, we all have an agreement under the Nigerian Constitution to live together. So, Prophet Muhammad said whoever kills a soul of non-Muslim that is under such agreement of living together will not smell the fragrance of paradise. Such person’s distance to paradise will be like a journey of 40 years.

“Killing a non-Muslims under the guise that, the person uttered a blasphemous statement against Prophet Muhammad is not an excuse because Allah has told us in the Qur’an the non-Muslims will insult Allah and His Prophet. In fact, it is now the blasphemy will start after the killing of that lady in Sokoto, the insult will increase, not reduce.

“What Allah asked us to do in the face of blasphemy in a society like ours, is to be patient and preach to the people and make them understand our religion. In our kind of society, we don’t have the right to kill for blasphemy, otherwise, even many people who call themselves Islamic clerics who have equally been killed because they have fallen into blasphemy by calling Allah human being or saying they know tomorrow or those who have indirectly turned to Babalawo.

“The Prophet told us that, a time will come towards the end time, when people will feeling like taking other people’s life. So, he said instead of doing that, it is better for you to look for a rock and be boxing it, so that, you don’t the urge of killing anytime.

“So, who do we leave just justice for in the face of blasphemy? It is the authority. We don’t have the right to take up arms and kill anyone, except in self defence, like when some comes for your life or an armed robber invades your house. You are not the one to defend Islam, in fact, you are making the work of those calling people into Islam difficult.

“The right thing the students who killed the lady in Sokoto ought to do is to report her to the school management, then the management reports to the Governor or Sultan for them to know how to stop her. Just by hearing her commit blasphemy, you just went and carried out jungle justice on her, who taught you that? What do you want our country to turn into? We must leave these acts of barbarism.

“Is it even we the Muslims of Nigeria that want to defend Prophet Muhammad? We that are corrupt? We that cannot even be differentiated from unbelievers in corrupts acts. The best way to go if we want to defend the Prophet, is to follow his examples by being upright in all fronts.”

Kanye West’s Twitter Account Suspended

Barely a few hours after Kanye West returns to Twitter as a result of a restriction on his Instagram account, he gets suspended too on the microblogging app.

The world’s richest man, Elon Musk has warmly welcomed Kanye West back to Twitter who was last seen on microblogging in November 2020, Election Day.

His twitter account has remained inactive for nearly two years and it took a restriction on Instagram for the Yeezy mogul to use the microblogging site once again.

The Grammy award-winning rap star had his Instagram account restricted over the weekend for violating the site’s policies with an apparent anti-Semitic post.

The American Jewish Committee (AJC) had called out the rapper over his use of language in a now-deleted post which they noted perpetuated “anti-Semitic tropes like greed and control”.

That followed immediately after the “Donda” crooner had shared a screenshot of a text exchange between himself and Diddy, in which allegedly appeared to show West claiming that Combs was controlled by Jewish people. “Jesus is Jew,” he wrote in the caption.

Consequently, West moved his activities to Twitter where he immediately called out his estranged ‘nigga’ Mark for the restriction on his Instagram account.

The Tesla boss however took the opportunity to welcome back his ‘friend’ Ye after a long time to the microblogging app.

Actress Zainab Balogun Buys Herself House 12 months After Tapping…

12 months after tapping into her bestie’s blessings, actress Zainab Balogun buys herself a house at 33.

Nigerian actress and television presenter Zainab Balogun-Nwachukwu has disclosed her birthday excitement as she turns 33 today.

Nwachukwu who started modelling at the age of 16 via her Instagram post revealed how she tapped into her bestie’s blessings and one year later she became a landlady.

Sharing a video of her beautiful already rented apartment on the island, Zainab Balogun in a lengthy note narrated how it all happened.

She wrote: “#BirthdayGorl Today I turn 33 with so much to celebrate! I enter my Jesus year with life and testimonies. If he’s not healing me than He’s shocking me with the unthinkable.

A year ago my fav @bolanle bought a property. I watched Him do it and wanted to purchase too but I wasn’t ready by my standards. She had her testimony (a prophecy waiting to happen) and I tapped in. God repeats testimonies. He does it bigger the next time.

A year later my agent luxe.lagos found me the perfect place and the seller randomly gave

full possession of the property before it was paid for. I needed a property lawyer for due diligence/paperwork and Holy Spirit led me to @naijapropertylawyer two weeks before I knew I would need her services. I stumbled on her page and admired her passion to educate people on how to get on the property ladder.

Two months after my first property inspection, I secured a tenant via the seller’s agent who moved in within 10 days. The property was still a working site however @booktrueclean came to my rescue with an impeccable clean in less than 24hrs. They turned it around so quick that the tenant was able to move in earlier.

The alignment was ridiculous! Every important request I had was granted. A leap of faith is not a step. It is a giant, ridiculous, impossible jump into the palm of God. There’s so much I want to share on the property investment journey I’ve been on. It wasn’t easy but I’d like to help someone avoid the same mistakes I made.

Rt. Hon. Jones Onyereri Charges Orlu Youth To Have Their Destiny Connected To Economy

The Orlu Senatorial Candidate of PDP in the forth coming election Rt. Hon. Dr. Jones Onyereri has charged the Jones Youth Movement to have their Destiny Connected to the main stream of economy of the Nation, he State this in his address read on Saturday 8th October, 2022 at the one day summit held at Immaculate hotel, Port Harcourt road Owerri and organized by his supporters youth wing “Jones Onyereri Youth Movement” below is the full address.

PROTOCOL;

Across the world, we witness a resurgence of youths as they rise up to grab their destinies in their own hands and act to shape the fortunes of their nations. This explains why I am immensely proud of the Jones Youth Movements, which has emerged as a formidable political youth movement in Imo State.

Today, Jones Youth Movement is setting the agenda, providing leadership and mobilising to break the lethargy among Orlu youths and working to chart a future of peace and progress for our people. The entire nation is indeed under the grip of insecurity, corruption and institutional failures. Pervasive economic hardship, hunger and malnutrition as well as a general loss of faith by citizens defines our world.

Unfortunately, Orlu, our beloved district, is having a very unfair share of this season of incredulity. Painfully, we have become the Southeast theatre of the crises.

The theme for this summit centres on “Youth Laxity in Democratic Governance: Restoration of a New Normal through Participation and Protection.” The choice of the theme is very apt and timely.

It is coming at a time many of our youths seem to have lost hope, today we see them engaged in a last ditch effort to salvage optimism from the morass of national economic collapse.

Yet, there are many who wallow in despair and this has induced a high degree of laxity and apathy. Many youths would rather remain in their workshops and marketplaces during elections. Many go for soccer practices, while many others stay back in their rooms to enjoy music or watch movies while the polls are underway. You also find that many youths are not prepared to make the sacrifices needed for a successful conclusion of the ballot exercise.

Voting often does not end in just casting your ballot and running off. One must be patient enough to wait to see the ballots counted. The counting period is often the critical moment when the ballots figures are doctored. If the voters are not there to maintain an eagle eye on the process, the whole essence of selecting the people’s choice would be lost.

This summit has therefore been organised to spotlight the subject of youth antipathy in politics and governance, amidst all the difficulties and challenges of the dispensation, I still hear the assuring words prophet Isaiah, saying “beat your swords into ploughshare and your spears into pruning hooks.” In another chapter he assures us that “…violence shall no longer be heard in our land, wasting nor destruction within our borders.

But you shall call your walls salvation and your gates praise.” It is with faith in these words that I proclaim that a new normal is possible.

Let us begin anew. With concerted programmes of public enlightenment, mentoring and mobilisation, a future of peace and progress is assured.

Jobs, quality infrastructure and enabling environment for business to thrive and more, would not come until all hands are on deck. Nothing good comes easy, they say – whether economic growth, quality health care or educational institutions, our youths must see their destiny connected with the economic fortunes of the country.

We pledge to work to mainstream our youths into the governance process through policies and programmes that enable their self-actualization and self-fulfilment. As I pledged in my manifesto, I come to lead the charge in the quest for peace and the mission to return Orlu to the path of reconciliation and progress.

Upon my election, I shall devote my energies to partnering with both citizens and stakeholders in the senatorial district and the state, as well as like minds in the National Assembly, towards this goal.

A better Orlu is very possible because we’re have the seeds of redemption and restoration. I would like to reiterate the great potential of the Orlu Zone.

With 12 local government areas and a population of about 2.3million people, we are the largest senatorial zone in the entire South East. As the hub of oil production in the region, we are among the most resource endowed. Private sector contribution to GDP is huge and could be made better. Over 50 percent of Imo State tax revenue comes from Orlu.

We have the human and material resources. We have the capacity and we have the audacity. In the midst of all these graces, misery ought not to be known in our midst, except, we unwittingly, become as self-destruct as to let it in. God forbid. Let us therefore, lay the era of combat and brickbats behind us.

Let us welcome a new horizon of a prosperous dawn, which we cannot attain if we are at odds with ourselves. It calls for true reconciliation, reconstruction and restitution. This is our mission and we cannot outsource the task to any other individual, community or district. We shall recreate the middle class as the engine of development even if it entails our having to pull ourselves up by the bootstrap.

We shall seek to improve the Human Development Indices in Orlu not just by chasing statistics, but by impacting evidently on our living conditions. We shall deploy the Chinese model of laying emphasis on MSMEs.

The current plague of militancy is simply a function of limited choices and dearth of economic opportunities. We shall make it less attractive by multiplying opportunities and choices of genuine economic engagements. The primaries are over and by the grace of Almighty God, I am your candidate for Senate under the flag of our great party, PDP.

I am sincerely grateful to the good people or Orlu for the overwhelming support you have shown thus far. With God on our side, we shall be on the red chambers come 2023. In this endeavour, I am very conscious of the fact that we cannot walk alone.

I am always inspired by the African proverb which says, “If you want to go fast, go alone; but if you want to go far, go together.” I, therefore, invite all the youths and the entire good people of Orlu Senatorial district to join hands together for a brighter and more prosperous tomorrow.

Thank you all for your kind attention and God bless.

Long live the Orlu Senatorial District!
Long live Imo State!!Long Live, the Federal!! Republic of Nigeria!!!

NDLEA Arrests Another Billionaire Drug Baron In VGV Lagos, Recovers #8.8b Worth Of Tramadol

No less than Thirteen Million, Four Hundred and Fifty One Thousand, Four Hundred and Sixty Six (13,451,466) pills of Tramadol 225mg worth Eight Billion Eight Hundred and Sixty Million Naira (N8,860,000,000) in street value have been recovered by operatives of the National Drug Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, from one of the mansions of a billionaire drug baron, Ugochukwu Nsofor Chukwukadibia, in the highbrow residential estate, Victoria Garden City, Lekki area of Lagos.

The arrest of Ugochukwu who is the Chairman of Autonation Motors Ltd is coming barely two months after NDLEA uncovered a methamphetamine clandestine laboratory in the residence of another drug kingpin in the estate, Chris Emeka Nzewi, who was arrested on Saturday 30th July along with a chemist, Sunday Ukah, who cooked the illicit drug for him. At least, 258.74 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine and various precursor chemicals used for the production of the toxic drug were recovered from Nzewis home during his arrest.

Following credible intelligence, NDLEA operatives on Friday 30th September stormed the Plot A45 Road 2 home of the 52-year-old billionaire drug kingpin. A search of the expansive mansion led to the discovery of 443 cartons of Tramadol Hydrochloride 225mg, which contains 13, 451, 466 pills of the drug while some cartons were already burnt in a fire incident in the house same day.

Before his arrest, Ugochukwu who hails from Ihiala local government area of Anambra state has been on the Agencys watch list as one of those behind the tramadol drug cartel in Nigeria. Preliminary investigation shows that he has about six mansions within the VGC, one of which he uses to warehouse the tramadol consignment, while he lives in the one at Plot Z-130 Road 67 and another as his office. Five exotic vehicles have also been located in two of his mansions, out of which two SUVs including a bullet jeep have been successfully removed to the Agencys facility.

Reacting to the latest drug haul, Chairman/Chief Executive of NDLEA, Mohamed Buba Marwa, I’ll like to reassure Nigerians and other stakeholders wherever they are located across the country and beyond of our preparedness to work with them on this onerous task of saving our people from the drug scourge. This partnership is a further warning to the drug barons and cartels that there is no hiding place for them anymore, because we remain on their trail and well always get them.

NDLEA.

Hard pills are taken to destroy
The womb has become a slaughter
Oh mothers with zero emotions.

Dear maker hear this:
I hear bloody ticks of my death clock
Death throes have consumed ticks
Through a bloody flow I slide down.

What an end to a young of life
I was flushed and denied right to live
Flushed away via a sewage of poop
To you, oh soul keeper is vengeance.

My mother turns murderer
Her tender love turns hove
My emotion turns rejection
Her affection turns eviction.

JUST IN: “Delusional” – Tinubu Reacts To Bloomberg Presidential Poll With Peter Obi In Lead

The Tinubu/Shettima Campaign group has rubbished a poll by International news organisation, Bloomberg, on the 2023 Presidential Elections that has the candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi in lead to become Nigeria’s next President.

Chief Spokesperson Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign Council, Festus Keyamo (SAN) on Wednesday described as the poll as “delusional”

The presidential election scheduled for February next year is expected to be a three-horse race between Labour Party’s Peter Obi, the All Progressives Congress’ Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Peoples Democratic Party’s Atiku Abubakar.

According to Bloomberg, a clear majority of respondents to the opinion poll said they intend to vote for Obi, former Anambra State governor as the next president.

Responding, Keyamo in a tweet on his official Twitter handle said “The report of @BloombergAfrica said it used an APP to conduct an opinion poll in Nigeria where more than 95% don’t have access to such apps”.

“This style is even lower in credibility than when you send people to the field. This is the most delusional poll I have seen since I was born”.
