Nigeria Lawyers Are Hostile, I Wore Sneakers To Scorn Them – Shettima

The vice-presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Alhaji Ibrahim Shettima has explained that he chose to wore sneakers with suit to the NBA convention because he got information that the lawyers at the convention were hostile.The former Borno State governor who has been severally alleged to have links with the dreaded Boko Haram terrorist sect said that he had to wear the sneakers to ridicule the lawyers.Recall that Shettima had come under fire for many reasons recently, including his choice of dress for the 2022 conference of the Nigerian Bar Association, where he went to represent the allegedly unfit presidential candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.It is yet to be seen how his ridiculous dress sense could have been of any significance to the eminent Nigerians who gathered for their annual general conference. A lawyer at the conference, Abidemi Yoshau took exception to the description of Nigerian lawyers as hostile and explained what really happened.According to the lawyer; “We were not hostile to anyone, it’s just that Peter Obi distinguished himself in both and appearance and speech and got most of us applauding him. Mr. Shettima made himself an object of caricature by wearing a gym sneakers with a corporate suit and tie. He should have understood that he was attending a formal occasion, and even he had wanted to wear sneakers, it should have been a sleeker one, not such a bogus one that is only fit for the gyms or with jean trousers.”Yishau said that she doesn’t understand how one “could defecate on himself and claim to be ridiculing another person.”
