I have been acquainted with the Supreme Court’s dismissal of the appeal to an FCT High Court judgement which affirmed Mr. Daniel Nwafor as the Imo State Chairman of our party against Chief Marcellinus Nlemigbo.
This ruling which is consequent upon the expired tenure of the Comrade Adams Oshiomhole-led National Working Committee, has been overtaken by events as a result of the recently-held 2022 National Convention of our great party.
The current Hon. MacDonald Ebere-led State Executive, who were not party to the case, remains the authentic leadership of the party in the State as affirmed at the 2022 National Convention of our great party, which is the highest decision making organ of the party.
The ongoing Primary Election for our aspirants, as being conducted by the National Working Committee, subsists and the outcome remains valid before the law.
I therefore, call on our teeming members and supporters to remain calm as we are committed towards working together in service to the good people of Imo State.
