The standard bearer of the Young Progressives Party in the Imo November 11th Governorship election High Chief Dr. Kemdi Chino Opara has called on the Imo People to support the and vote for him in the forthcoming governorship election in the State.
Stating that his candidature is the most qualified, credible, eminent and competent which will offer genuine leadership to the three political zones in the state.
Dr. Opara stated this while answering questions as a guest in 60 minutes live programme aired by the Nigeria Television Authority (NTA) with Tony Madu fortnight ago.
He further stated that the previous and present government were becloud with loss of sense of duty, poor governance failure in leadership which have starved the good people of Imo State the opportunity to enjoy dividends of democracy and governance which their exclusive right.
Looking at the toxic leadership currently experienced in the State help one understand the level of backwardness, insecurity, poverty, unemployment, undue and untold hardship the state has been plunged into.
Dr. Opara maintained that change of leadership in government with a credible, responsible and competent alternative is ” Sine qua non” to do the magic of setting the State on the progressive and development map.
Reiterating his determination and passion to serve the good people of Imo as their next governor to enable him improve the governance system in the State by demonstrating leadership at its best will reposition the lives of Imolites by implementing right decisions and people oriented policies.
The YPP flag bearer promised if elected to declare State of Emergency in some key areas like Education, infrastructure, and unemployment.
In education sector he promised to make education accessible by making primary and secondary school free and 50percent reduction in tertiary school, he also promise to conduct local government election with full administrative and financial autonomy within six months of assumption of office as governor.
My cabinet shall be made of 75 percent of youths and women, build quality road network, complete and equip the 27 general Hospital at various local governments built by the former governor of the State, His Excellency Distinguished Senator Owelle Rochas Anayo Okorocha.
