Theme: Our Call To The Gospel Ministry
Topic: The Purpose For The Call.
Text: Act 26:12 -36
Some ministers have forgotten why they were called.
Everyone God called has a purpose for the call.
Abraham and several others had a purpose for their call.
A minister should remove himself from whatever would constitute a hindrance to the call.
A minister should cultivate and imbibe a lifestyle of prayer and sacrifice because it is critical to the success of his ministry.
Moses was called to deliver the Israelites from Egypt.
It is on us ministers to deliver or bring out sinners from the bondage of SIN.
Ministers should resist the tendency of being subordinate to their Senior Pastor, they should remember that ministry requires submission.
Every minister should be well behaved and properly cultured.
Moses and Aaron are good examples of submission.
Joshua, Gideon, and Sampson amongst others, though Sampson was expected to be “Completely dedicated to God.” His life was a far cry from such expectation but all of them were called for a purpose.
When God calls a person he puts him in front so the minister can lead the members where they could find pastures and Salvation.
If you want to make a success in the ministry, keep yourself under the HOLY SPIRIT.
Ministers should not reinvent the negative narrative of Eli and his Sons in ministry but should be decisive in redressing wrongdoing, no matter who is involved.
If any man is running and he does not run well, God will change him like Samuel and Eli, David and Saul.
Growth in ministry may be slow but wherever God calls you and wants you to be, stay there, God will provide the necessary requirements for success.
Ministers should concentrate on their ministries and emulate the example of Jesus Christ who indeed was a fishers of men in tandem with his calling.
Prayer and evangelism is the most important thing in the ministry.
Soul-winning is God’s heartbeat.
Ministers should build the Church in Christ.
People should be pointed to Christ, irrespective of the calling.
What were you called to do?
