Imo House Of Assembly: Uche Ogbuagu And Five Others Suspended For Demanding Their Constituency Allowance.

It’s Been fire for fire in Imo House Of Assembly this afternoon suspended Uche Ogbuagu and 5 others,

Information that reached Gisthub24.com confirmed that Six (6) Imo State House of Assembly Members were suspended today and they are:

1. Hon. Uche Ogbuagu
Ikeduru LGA

2. Hon. Barr Anyadike
Ezinihitte LGA

3. Hon. Ezerioha Dominic
Oru West LGA

4. Hon. Philip Ejiogu
Owerri North LGA

5. Hon. Micheal Onyemaechi
White Uboma LGA

6. Hon. Kennedy Ibe
Obowo LGA

It was said that their suspension was on gross misconduct (conducting themselves in an unparliamentary manner), Further investigation reveals that what triggered the fire when the suspended members asked the speaker about their constituency allowance which has not been given to them since they were sworn in as members two years ago.

They were not asking for the money to been given to them at hand, rather the government should use the said money to work in their various constituencies which were their statutory right enshrined in the Constitution.

Remember it was based on this constituency allowance that these honorable members campaigned to their wards and communities on what they will do for them. Gisthub24 also gathered that the Speaker was smuggled out of the chambers when gunshots were heard.

Also Hon. Arthur Egwim member representing Ideato North Constituency has been Removed As the Chief Whip of the House And was Immediately Replaced With Rt Hon Obinna Opara Of Nkwerre Constituency.

All IMHA standing committee has been dissolved.
