Police Commences 2nd Phase Of National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) Enrollment For Retired Police Officers

The Commissioner of Police Imo State Police Command, CP Nasiru Mohammed urges Retired Police Officers and spouses to avail themselves of this laudable initiative of the NPF and enroll in the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) which is at no cost.

This is in line with the IGP’s resolve at ensuring that retired police officers and their spouses are not left out in the force initiative at providing quality and accessible health care service through the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS).

The Imo State Police Command therefore wishes to inform the general public especially retired police officers that the Inspector-General of Police IGP Mohammed Abubakar Adamu,NPM,mni has graciously approved the second phase of the enrolment exercise for officers not captured in the first phase, the opportunity to do so.

All retired police officers who were not captured in the first phase are requested to visit any Police Area Command closest to them in their respective LGAs with their letter of Retirement and Retiree’s ID Cards for registration/capturing. The registration/capturing exercise is scheduled to hold between Monday 15th March 2021 and Thursday 18th March, 2021 in Imo State.

The Commissioner of Police CP Nasiru Mohammed therefore enjoins all affected retired officers in the state to take advantage of this laudable IGP’s initiative to enroll in the scheme at no cost and without any form of deduction whatsoever from Retirees Monthly Pension.
