Rev. M.K. Ogumbola Former District Superintendent Of Apapa District Retires After 50yrs Of Unbroken Service

It was a colourful retirement ceremony for the District Superintendent Emeritus of Assembles of God, Apapa District, the Rev. Michael Kolawole Ogunbola. (Rtd), after 50 years of meritorious service to God and 18 years as Apapa District Superintendent.

He also served as the Executive Committee representing South West Zone 2.

Dignitaries across the state were in attendance.

The Grand Father of Assembles of God Nigeria. Rev. Dr. Charles Osueke (Rtd) gave the admonition from the book of Proverbs 3:5 -6, stating that we should always put out Trust in God, thar God honours those who honour Him.

He stressed that we should learn to serve God faithfully for there is a reward for it.

Also in attendance was Rev. I.M. Mpamugo (Rtd) & wife. Rev. Dr. H.U. Ogbonnaya (Rtd), Rev. Emmanuel Ifezue, District Superintendent of Ondo & Executive Committee Rep, Southwest Zone 1, Rev. J.N.G Okafor, PhD, Lagos District Superintendent and Executive Committee Rep. South West Zone 2, National Directors of Chaplaincy & Men – Revd Dr Unuane Bright & Revd Dr Okaka. District Superintendents from Sango, Dr J.K.Amah, Lagos Mainland, Revd J.U.Okorie Lekki, Revd S.I.Brodrick & wife, Badagry, Dr John Ikpe, Ijebu, Revd (Barr) Adegboyega Adesanya, Ondo South, Revd Owolabi & SAST Provost, Prof Mbamalu. Others are Prof G.A.Osoba, presbytery members & sectional leaders across zones were in attendance.

The Chief Host as well as the District Superintendent of Apapa, Revd Chukwudebelu Izuchukwu, PhD while addressing the congregation mentioned that the Rtd DS is a man of integrity, a pace setter and project freak & conflict manager.

As a parting gift from the District to the out gone DS, Dr. Izuchukwu mentioned that already built and furnished four bedroom duplex & another building of four flats with two bedroom each, all en-suite (popularly known as boys quarters) were dedicated earlier before the ceremony commenced by Dr Charles Osueke and the keys have been handed over to Him.

A new order Prado jeep, a pastors (cheque) gift of N1M & the sum of N35Million.

The Women department led by Revd (Mrs) Chukwudebelu Adanma, gave her successor, Evang Esther Ogunbola a Lexus Jeep and N1.2M with other gifts from sectional coordinators and pastors wives. _

Seeth thou a man diligent in his ways before the Lord, he shall sit before Kings and not mean men._

Several other gifts from individuals and representatives from sister districts were presented to our father, Revd MKO.

To God be the Glory, Great things He hath done. Happy retirement Sir. The Lord will continue to strengthen and keep you safe in Jesus name. Amen.
