Today Wednesday 2nd September,2020, the APC Senatorial Bye Election primaries committee and the Appeals committee visited the Commissioner of Police, Imo state, CP Isaac AKINMOYEDE psc,fdc,MNIM in his office.
The Chairman of the primary election committee, SENATOR DR.SURAJUDEEN AJIBOLA BISIRIU , who led the group informed the CP of their mission , which he said is to conduct primary election which will produce a candidate that will fly the party’s flag in the forthcoming senatorial bye-elections.
He further told the CP that the committee will be very transparent in their assignment, and as such ensure that the will of the people prevail.
The Senator while thanking the CP for the warm reception accorded them, used the opportunity to solicit for the support of the Command in ensuring safety and security of all before, during and after the primary election.
According to the PPRO in the State, SP Orlando Ikeokwu, The Commissioner of Police, in his reaction, thanked the two committees for finding time to visit despite their tight schedule, he informed them of the Command’s readiness to provide security within and around the venue of the exercise, and as well respond when called upon.
Among the dignitaries on the entourage are SENATOR ABUBAKAR GADA, HON.HALIMS AGODA OFR, HON. EMMA IBEDIRO, HON. USMAN BELLO KUMO among others.
