It is with great delight and excitement that I welcome you all to this briefing which is aimed at informing you of the recent developments and achievements by the Command.
It would be recalled that during my last briefing, I informed you that we shall make Imo State very uncomfortable for all criminal elements except they leave Imo State or turn away from their wicked ways. On that occasion, I also told Imolites that the Command shall continue to take the fight against crimes and criminalities to the den and hide-out of the kidnappers, armed robbers and other criminals.
Today, I gladly present to you a total of Thirty-One (31) suspects involved in various crimes ranging from sexual and gender-based crimes like Incest, Defilement, Rape to Heinous ones like Armed Robbery, Kidnapping etc.
This is the result of the robust crime fighting strategy we have put in place which has proved to be largely successful. We shall therefore continue to do our best to ensure that Imo State remain a very safe place for business to thrive.
Finally, I wish to thank “Ndi Imo” for their cooperation so far especially in the area of information, but like “Oliver Twist” we shall continue to ask for more, for together we shall make Imo a very peaceful state for all and sundry.
