Following the kidnap of the Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in Nasarawa State, Bishop Joseph Masin, on Wednesday at his residence in Lafia, the Southern Youths Wing of CAN has demanded for his immediate release.
In a press release made available in Owerri, the Chairman, Barr. Oluchukwu Green Nnabugwu decry the increasing incessant killings of Christian faithfuls across the country, which has become worrisome, as citizen’s now live in fear of either being kidnapped or killed.
He reiterated that the kidnap of Bishop Masin and other religious faithfuls as well as muslems sparks the high level of incompetence displayed by security agencies.
He further called for the overhauling of the nation’s security outfits to ensure effective and efficiency in the discharge of their duties.
