P.P.R.O. Orlando Ikeokwu solicits for Akubuiro’s family, gives them palliative.

On 11/04/2020, I went to Market Square Supermarket to get some items as demanded by my family as I waited outside having placed my order, because as at then no one enters the supermarket due to Covid-19 restriction order of the state government, you only give one of the staff of the supermarket money to shop for you while you wait outside.

A woman who identified herself as Mrs Jennifer Akabuiro, walked up to me, asking for assistance, with her was her twelve (12) years old daughter, Chinenye Akabuiro and her son Chijioke Akabuiro three (3) years old.

I tried to find out why she took to begging since she is not physically challenged, she told me her husband was a carpenter, but presently paralyzed after falling down from a tree which affected his spinal cord, and that she spent all the money she uses for her minor business while treating her husband. She further informed me that they have seven children in total and none of them is in school due to financial constraint.

I was really touched that I had to do a little shopping for them and gave her small amount of money, gave her my complementary card to call me, unfortunately she had no phone, then I told her to get a phone from anyone close to her and call me so that I can pay them a visit.

She called me three weeks later, I then visited the family with the little I can spare from my “Covid-19 reserve”. On getting to the house, I almost wept at the condition of the family, the house is dilapidated, they sleep on bare floor and above all no food to eat and one of the child was ill, with no money for drugs, all the children had fully grown hairs, not because they want it that way, but because there is no money to go to the salon for hair cut. However, I did all I could at least to save the situation momentarily.

Furthermore, I contacted my family members and friends as a result, two of the children, Favour Akabuiro 15yrs old and Chinenye Akabuiro 12yrs old were taken by two different families and I went further to buy a small phone for the woman for easy communication between the woman, the two children and their respective guardians.

My reason for writing and posting this therefore is to appeal to anyone or group who has something to spare to kindly reach out to Mrs. Jennifer Akabuiro on 07086733663, or visit them at Okwu-Umuguma, Ogbaku.

May God bless and replenish our purses a million fold as we spare to help this Family.

  1. They contact the author Shonda though she doesn’t seriously like getting called like that. To play hockey is a issue she genuinely enjoys performing. His household is now in Indiana. He is at this time a production and distribution officer but he strategies on changing it.

  2. These are the individuals who benefit the most from gambling as individuals. But most importantly, self-discipline should begin with you. That is any team, so you much better be cautious when choosing 1 out.
