EFCC Bans Ex Abia governor, and current Abia Speaker from traveling out of the country seizes his International Passports Over alleged Multi-Billion Naira Fraud From Abia State Government Treasury.
___The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has seized the travel documents of a former Abia State Governor Theodore Ahamefula Orji and two of his children as part of its investigation into the probe of alleged multi-billion naira fraud.Others affected by the seizure are Abia State House of Assembly Speaker Chinendum Orji Enyinnaya and Ogbonna Orji.Their movement has been restricted to the country to enable detectives conduct a comprehensive investigation on their multi-billion Naira Loots From Abia Treasury… It was also alleged that the current speaker has over 100 bank accounts with over 80 of such accounts still active, some in Dollars, others in pounds and Naira.
It will be recalled that last year a federal high court convicted former Governor of same state, Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu with 12 years imprisonment.
Since creation of Abia State over 20years ago, there has not been any meaningful development in the entire state.Even the state capital is a mere glorified village, seems to be the most local state capital. ABA the commercial hub centre for South East and even west Africa is a no go area in terms of road, electricity and good infrastructure. Even though it has been a PDP state.
